confusion between two words
Would someone be able to tell me the difference between "wollen" and "mochten"?

"Möchten" (would like) is more polite than "wollen" (want) but "wollen" also expresses a stronger wish.
From my expierence, people use "wollen" more frequently than "möchten" in colloquial language.
