Confusing... what is the reason you added an old entry?

Questions from my last lesson

These are questions from my last lesson with @merooka.

1. 番六課 - Does this actually mean 6th Lesson, found it in Genki.
- Answer:This is incorrect or strange. I have doubted Kanji of 番, I think it must be 第, not 番.
- Me: oops ,wrong kanji!

2. This sentence,
私は、いつか長い文章を書くことができるようにしたいです。
^ One day, I would like to be able to write longer sentences.

Ahhh.... a bit strange for me, I will translate your sentence in Japanese into English like this.

- One day, I would like to try to be able to write longer sentences.
Hence, I prefer to say with original sentence in English you made in this way.
- 私は、いつか長い文章を書くことができるようになりたいです。

「v.dict + ようにしたい」が正しいですか？
- Therefore, 'v.dict + ようになりたい’ corresponds to 'would like to V' or ' want to V'.

〜ができるようにする ~ Be able to do?
- 'Be able to do' is '～することができる'.

覚えることができるようにしたいです。- I will try to remember
The sentence above should be interpreted in this way.
「わたしは覚えるようにします」

How can I say, “First Birthday, 1st Birthday”..一歳？
