English people and their boilers Good morning. Today I am pretty happy because it's the first sunny day after an whole rainy week. I am going to start off this Saturday on the right foot, as I'm feeling serene and relaxed. And I can assure you that this is not an ordinary situation for me, since I'm more often in a hurry. What is the perfect recipe to start weekend in the best way? 1. good breakfast 2. chillout music in the background 3. a fresh shower 4. a good newspaper I have all of them, but I'm going to focus on the fourth one. This morning I had neither the time nor the will to run down and buy a newspaper at the kiosk, so I had a look on the English magazine's website, The Independent. I found the following light hearted but very curious news "What do immigrants really think of Britain? http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/what-do-immigrants-really-think-of-britain-polish-immigrants-reddit-post-goes-viral-9699824.html It tells about the insights posted on the web by a Polish IT consultant living in UK who was baffled by some British people's obsessions and bad manners. First he said they often leave littering around the city, as Mc Donald's packaging left on Tube's seats. Then he wrote that British people are obsessioned by their central heating and they constantly complain or brag about their boilers. Do you think it's true?

It tells about ('discusses' is a much better word or you could say 'talks about' rather than 'tells about') the insights posted on the web (useless information that makes sentence too long) by a Polish IT consultant living in UK who was baffled by some British people's obsessions and bad manners. First he said they often leave littering around the city, as Mc Donald's packaging is left on Tube's seats. Then he wrote that British people are obsessioned obsessed by their central heating and they constantly complain or brag about their boilers.

Do you think it's true?

I have all of them, but I'm going to focus on the fourth (<em>one).</em> This morning, I had neither the time nor the will (<em>energy</em>) to run down and buy a newspaper at the kiosk, so I had a look on the website of The Independent, which is a British newspaper.  I found the following article light-hearted but also very curious news "What do immigrants really think of Britain?

It talks about / tells of the insights posted on the web by a Polish IT consultant living in UK who is / has been baffled by some British people's obsessions and bad manners. First he said they often leave litter around the city, like McDonald's packaging left on Tube seats. Then he wrote that British people are obsessed by their central heating and they constantly complain or brag about their boilers.

<em>Very good article!  It's true that some people in England complain about boilers.  I don't know if it's because we have quite a lot of old houses and so they break down a lot.  Or perhaps the quality of the consrtruction is low.  I have never heard anyone brag about them though.  Litter is quite bad in big cities in England, to be fair to him.  Michael</em>
