I am looking for the market. I want to find a butcher.
أبحث عن السوق. أريد أن أجد جزارا.

He entered his room and saw his friend's ticket on the table.
دخل غرفته و رأى تذكرة الصديقه على الطاولة.

تذكرة صديقه

(when a possessive pronoun is attached to a noun, you do not attach "الـ" to the word)

How did you (m pl) travel from Beirut to Baghdad?
كمسافرتم من بيروت إلى بغداد؟

كيف سافرتم

They asked for directions and visited the mosque.
طلبوا لتوجية وزاروا المسجد.

طلبوا التوجيه  (the last letter is is "ه" not "ة")

She wrote a book and we are reading it together.
كتبت كتاب ونقرأه معا.

كتبتْ كتابًا

(the vowel mark over the last letter in كتاب is "tanween fat-ha ( ً )" because the word is "indefinite" [i.e. "a book" and not "the book"], and when there is a "tanween fat-ha over the last letter, an alif [ ا ] is added to it >> كتابًـا )

Are you (f pl) taking these books? He was studying in his garden.
يأخذن هذه الكتب؟ درس في الحديقته.

هل ستأخذن هذه الكتب؟ كان يدرس في حديقته

(حديقتـه  has a possessive pronoun attached, so the "الـ" is removed, same as in sentence 2.

and درس في حديقته would translate as: He studied in his garden.

Also, when you are speaking to females you use "ت = تـأخذن" ; the "يـ" is used when you are talking about females.)

What have you (m pl) done?
ما فعلتم؟

ماذا فعلتم؟

Are you (f sing) carrying your baby to the town centre?
هل يحمل طفلك ألى المركز المدينة؟

هل ستحملين طفلك إلى مركز المدينة؟

(when you are asking if someone is going to do something, you use the future tense by adding "سـ", and the "ت" when speaking to females.  As for المركز, it is already identified by the noun after itا, so you do not attach الـ to it.  Nouns are identified [i.e. made definite] by attaching الـ, or attaching a possessive pronoun, or adding a noun that identifies it such as in this sentence.)

I want to travel to Alexandria next year.
أريد أن سأسافر إلى المدينة الإسكندريّة السنة القادم.

أريد أن أسافر إلى مدينة الإسكندرية السنة القادمة

(مدينة is already identified by another noun [الإسكندرية] so الـ is not needed.  أريد أن has already indicated that it is something that will be done in the future so the "سـ" is not needed.  السنة is feminine, so the adjective following it would also be in the feminine form > القادمـة )

I think, if I'm not wrong, 'next year'- in the penultimate sentence should be: السنة القادمة؟
