Devices vs No Devices
Which device (or “appliance”) do you think you could live without? There are so many objects in your house which you are accustomed to live with. What would happen if they didn't exist? (or “What would happen if some of them didn’t exist?”)
I think the most important device (or “appliance” / or “modern piece of machinery”) in my home is my fridge. Without it you couldn't buy as much food as you usually buy and keep the it lasting for a long time because it would go bad quickly. You would have to go to the market everyday (or daily) and that's difficult to do if you don't have much time.
Another important object for me is the oven. Many people tend to think if you have a microwave the oven is not necessary; but I disagree. The meals produced from an oven (or “cooked in an oven”) are much more tasty (or “far tastier”) than from a microwave. It's true that you can gain time using the microwave, though.
Isn’t it hard to imagine a world without devices?
