San Gennaro! Today in Naples we celebrate a very important catholic ricorrence: "San Gennaro" (i don't know the corresponding of "Gennaro" in english..). In this day, the rector of the town controls, during a very movingly rite, if the blood contained in a specific glass ampoule is melded or not. The legend says that this is the blood of the holy!. Apart from that day, during the rest of the year the blood remains in a solid form into the ampoule while, in this day of the year, sometimes, this becomes liquid. The legend wants that if the blood is melded the city will be lucky for the rest of the year and some very nice event will happens, otherwise, some very bad event will happen during the year. So the question is: Legend or reality? Well, i don't believe in this "miracle" but i've to recognize that only in this day the blood, when during the rite the rector take the ampoule, initially solid start to meld. In the past, when it didn't meld naples hadn't then a lucky year. For example, in 1980 we have a terrible earthquake and the blood didn't meld in that day. Could someone manipulate the ampoule so that he could meld or not the blood ? In my opinion this is possible, however there's no doubt that this is a very fashinating story, isn't it? I wish you a very happy San gennaro!

Thanks for sharing this story. Sorry I have no time to correct it now, but I think 'meld' is not correct, and the verb you want is probably 'liquify' Un saluto dalla California!
