If you say "sono in vacanza solo" the meaning is that you are on holiday alone; while if you say "sono solamente/soltanto in vacanza" the meaning is that you're just on holiday

"Molto" here is just an adverb of quantity, not an article; So you don't have to accord it

I suppose that "principale" would be the way to indicate the main street, and not its proper name...

"Partire" means that you're going to leave to come back to USA :) "Andare" fits more as it means "to go"
