Good Demonstration of Democracy

I live in Catalonia and I have been following the Scottish referendum that has taken took [in general we use the simple tense more frequently than the perfect] place this week. Without a doubt, there are several differences between the Spanish and the Scottish situations. I am not supporting here a concrete result definite view, so all the political inclinations have to be respected. Nevertheless, I admire the demonstration of democracy that we have witnessed this week.
