The Roly-Poly. (PartI). Many people are dreaming of having a pet. But one always thinks: How can I afford it? It’s a great responsibility and requires special knowledge and skills. A pet demands attention, time and money. I cannot imagine raising a puppy or a kitten. Many inventors, researchers and scientists wanted to create a perfect animal which can live in harmony with humans, to be safe and useful. We can remember doctor Salvador’s experiments, who have invented Ichtiander, and a mad scientist Dr. Alphonse Mephisto from South Park, who specializes in genetic engineering. Despite all efforts such attempts until recently was failed. But now we’ve got it right! Our small company has conducted marketing research and the solution became obvious. It’s a well-known title character of a Russian nursery tale Roly-Poly. We have done selection work and our scientists have made genetic changes. And now we are ready to launch an absolutely new product to the market. It’s an ideal pet that will be a suitable match for everyone. The main advantages: 1. Pet has no sharp angles, protrusions or edges. It is ball-shaped and as soft as a pillow. It means that you would not be wounded with it even if you will fall on it accidentally. It has no sharp teeth, claws, horns and beaks, as other animals do. 2. It has no fur. You will not need to sweep tons of hair and to worry about an allergy. 3. It is compact and will not occupy a lot of place in your house. The average size is slightly less than a basketball. 4. Just as hens lay eggs, Roly-Poles bring out rolls. If you want to breed them, then it would be necessary to retain two Roly-Poles at the same time - a boy and a girl. But if you wish to have only rolls for breakfast, one pet is enough. 5. Roly-Poly has a very pleasant character. It is friendly, affectionate, tender and sweet. Everyone knows that early versions of wild Roly-Poles were not faithful. They were afraid of being eaten and escaped from home. But now you don’t have to eat Roly-Poly. In the course of domestication they have learned of great dangers awaiting them just outside the door. Their behavior have underwent a drastic change. To be continued....

Many people are dreaming of having a pet. But one always thinks: How can I afford it? It’s a great responsibility and requires special knowledge and skills. A pet demands attention, time and money. I cannot imagine raising a puppy or a kitten.
In the past, inventors, researchers and scientists have wanted to create a perfect animal which can live in harmony with humans, to be safe and useful. We can remember the experiments of Dr Salvador’s, who have invented Ichtiander, and a mad scientist, Dr. Alphonse Mephisto, from South Park, who specializes in genetic engineering. Despite all efforts, until recently such attempts all failed.
But now we’ve got it right!
Our small company has conducted marketing research and the solution became obvious. It’s a well-known title character of a Russian nursery tale, Roly-Poly. We carried out selection work and our scientists have made genetic changes. And now we are ready to launch an absolutely new product to the market. It’s an ideal pet that will be a suitable match for everyone.
The main advantages:
1. The pet has no sharp angles, protrusions or edges. It is ball-shaped and as soft as a pillow. It means that you will not be injured by it even if you will fall on it accidentally. It has no sharp teeth, claws, horns or beaks, as other animals do.

2. It has no fur. You will not need to sweep up tons of hair or worry about an allergy.

3. It is compact and will not occupy a lot of place in your house. The average size is slightly less than a basketball.

4. Just as hens lay eggs, Roly-Polys produce rolls. If you want to breed them, then it would be necessary to retain two Roly-Polys at the same time - a boy and a girl. But if you wish to have only rolls for breakfast, one pet is enough.

5. The Roly-Poly has a very pleasant character. It is friendly, affectionate, tender and sweet. Everyone knows that early versions of wild Roly-Polys were not faithful. They were afraid of being eaten and ran away. But now you don’t have to eat Roly-Polys. In the course of domestication they have learned of great dangers awaiting them just outside the door. Their behavior has undergone a drastic change.
