IELTS practice essay 2 Topic:Nowadays there are fewer and fewer people who are willing to pursue the career of teacher. What are the causes of this phenomenon? What can government do to encourage people to work in this profession? Body: Nowadays, more and more our younger generations do not want to be a teacher. I think this is mostly because the welfare system for teachers and the decline demands of teacher. Firstly, the teacher's salary is very low and can not afford their daily cost. For example, the average primary school Chinese teacher's salary in Nanping, my hometown, is around 2500 CNY per month but the horsing price there is almost 6000 CNY per square miters, which means a teacher should spend nearly 40 years to pay for a 100m2 horse without any daily cost. I think this is totally unacceptable and no one will like to take these kinds of job. Secondly, along with the decrease trend of our new generation, the demands of new teachers have been going down as well. Many students, who choose education as their major in college, find that it's very difficult to be a teacher in urban area after they graduate. The only choice for them is either choose some irrelevant job in city or teach in some remote rural areas. So, this is my second reason for why there are fewer people want to be a teacher. So, how can our governments solve this? The first thing is to improve teacher's welfare benefit by allocating more budgets on education system. Secondly, governments also have to ease or reverse the going down trend of our new generation. For example, the newly issued police that a family is allowed to have two children if one of the parent is the only child of his/her family, is a very good action to solve this problem. In conclusion, it is commonly acknowledged that teacher is vital important for out society. So, I believe our governments have to find some way to encourage more people to join into this profession.
