9/24/2014 Fact or fiction? In July 1943, US Navy conducted an experiment called The Philadelphia experiment. The goal was to work out a way to make the ship invisible to enemy’s magnetic mine and radar. Einstein’ was the mastermind of this project. They wrapped the hull of the ship with wires, and then sent high voltages through these wires to render out the ship’s magnetic field. This process was called degaussing. When it was done correctly, the ship would be “invisible” to the sensors of magnetic mines, but not to human’s vision. When the huge electric current was sent through the wire, the ship was firstly wrapped in a green fog, and then vanished in the thin air. It was teleported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Norfolk, Virginia for 15 minutes and then came back to Philadephia. Although this experiment seemed successful, however, the side effects of this experiment were terrifying. Some of the crewmen were seriously disoriented and became mentally ill for the rest of their lives, some of them found died, some of them went missing and other were embedded to the hull of the ship and died soon after. If the experiment was a successful one, our world today will become dangerous and people might be able to travel within dimension with the help of time machine.

Fact or fiction? In July 1943, the US Navy conducted an experiment called the "Philadelphia experiment." The goal was to work out a way to make the ship invisible to the enemy’s magnetic mines and radar. Einstein was the mastermind of this project.

They wrapped the hull of the ship with wires, and then sent high voltages through these wires to render out the ship’s magnetic field. This process was called degaussing. When it was done correctly, the ship would be “invisible” to the sensors of magnetic mines, but not to human’s vision.

When the huge electric current was sent through the wire, the ship was firstly wrapped in a green fog, and then vanished into the thin air. It was teleported from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Norfolk, Virginia for 15 minutes and then came back to Philadephia. Although this experiment seemed successful, however, the side effects of this experiment were terrifying. Some of the crewmen were seriously disoriented and became mentally ill for the rest of their lives, some of them were found dead died, some of them went missing, and others were embedded to in the hull of the ship and died soon after.

If the experiment was a successful one, our world today will would become dangerous and people might be able to travel within between dimensions with the help of the time machine.
