Shopping Spree

I haven't bought any clothes for a couple of years. I just kept telling myself that I would buy nice, decent clothes once I got a better job or after I shed some more weights and stayed in shape. I always came up with lame excuses and blew off the chances to buy clothes even when I was at the mall.

Now I look back on it, I guess I wasn't really happy with what I was [grammatically, "what I was" is fine, but we would usually say "where I was (in life)"] or how I looked and chose not to treat myself properly. The sad thing is I hadn't even realized all these this, up until my best friend forced me to hard to buy any some clothes at the mall, where I had brought him to get himself a birthday present. He refused to take anything from me and was bored with me the entire shopping trip. I couldn't be any happier today :)
