The blacksmith strikes the anvil and it also becomes hot. Drill wood for fire, strike stone for fire. This is the result of things being rubbed together. Notes: 1. 砧 usually mean a chopping board or a hammering block. In the context, because of the blacksmith, this hammering block is thus an anvil.
