My experience with using Linux I've been using Linux on my laptop as my operating system since the end of last year. And so far, I'm satisfied with its performance. Compared to the time when I used Windows, the whole experience is different. Why? To begin with, I don't have to use any anti-virus program. What more, it comes with a wide variety of pre-installed programs, too. I know that a decade ago Linux wasn't the operating system that it is today. Back then, it was a custom to use the "Terminal" for each task. And if you had a hardware at hand that you wanted to use, you had to make sure that your system supports it. If not, then you had to look for a driver online which was quite difficult and some times impossible to find. Nowadays the situation is much different. The "Kernel", which is still maintained by Linus Torvalds, is now more advanced, and also it includes almost all of the drivers that one would need to run Linux on its PC without any serious problem. So, my conclusion is that if you choose to use Linux as your main operating system, you won't be disappointed. Give it a try, if you get the chance!

Your English is very good, Roland.  I'm impressed by your advanced use of commas, which is acually better than most native speakers.

Hi Roland, Do you use all Linux distributions ?
October 2, 2014
Yes, they use it mainly on servers. One of the reasons is that Linux is very reliable, and you can throw out things you don't need in your system.

I like Linux too but we have needed Windows every days. For me, I need Windows for developper in C# or VB.NET. In Belgium, many Companies use Windows, Linux is only for Servers.
