I really like the idea of a gap year. Anyway, the most students don't know what to do later when they leave school. So you leave your home and go to another country for one year. There are you on your own and need money. But that's not the problem, you can get money by from casual jobs.
In this way, you can find yourself, and identify your abilities and weaknesses. You meet many new people, maybe learn another language and see how it is when there are not always your parents aren't alway there to help you in tricky situations.
You can see there are a lot of advantages of a gap year and remember in your future work life, you will probably never have the time or the opportunity to make have an experiences like this.
