The Horoscope

Why do people read the horoscope section in the newspapers? I´ve always been interested in this issue/question. I used to read it on a regular basis, but I gave up doing it so many years ago, since it didn´t make any sense to me. Its predictions were by no means accurate.They(horoscope writers), tend to treat all the people born under the same sign, as an individual, when,in fact , there aren´t two equal people.
There are some people who read the horoscope section just out of curiosity, to check if its predictions are correct.
Other people do it for fun, to laugh at the horoscope,and at people believing in it *better: people's belief in it.
Lastly, there is an increasing number of people who , not only read it, but believe in it as well. They get worried if the predictions are bad, and get elated/excited if the predictions are good.
What some people want to know is what will happen to them in the future. I can´t see the point in knowing about your future, since this will would make your life boring. In my opinion, what makes life exciting are unexpected things, wheteher they are pleasant or unpleasant ones.

Great job, as usual!  Every individual has a very complex astrological chart that individualizes their predictions.  However, as it would be impractical to analyze every newspaper reader's chart on an individual basis, astrologers generalize the process by grouping people together based on their sun sign, which is a very small part of their astrological chart.  That's why the predictions are not very reliable.
