“Inspector Falco?” 

A fireman shouted behind him.

Falco nodded even though if he could not hear the fireman very well through the heavy breathing gear he was wearing.because of his fullface mask.

“Can you walk?”

Falco nodded again. The fireman put Falco’s arm around his neck and helped him to reach the helicopter.

“Go! Go! Here Everything's is collapsing!”

Another firefighter shouted.

The men in the helicopter helped Falco to go get in. Just as the chopper  and then it took off, the final remnants of just in time before the whole Cipriani fellcollapsed.

The inspector felt weak and tired. He placed his head on the window and looked outside. A thud, then an image Something caught his eye… There he saw an image something similar to that in the painting hanging over on the a white mantel of the Harcourt's place.

“Mama!”

He exclaimed, when he recognized the huge head of an elephant.

“What the fuck is he doing doing herein the location of the explosion?”, he thought.

Then to the pilot. “Follow him!”

He commanded the pilotshouted. 

The firemen looked stared into the direction that he was indicating pointing to.  but they didn’t see anything There was nothing except the darkness.

“There! In that direction!”

Falco insisted and made threatening moves towards assaulting the pilot.

Two fireman blocked him. thinking Falco was having a reaction to the shock of Must be /the delusion stemming/hallucinating/ from the explosion.

“You have gotta to follow him!”

The Inspector continued to shouting.  Then a sudden jab of pain came.

, while a doctor was making him an injection of sedative.

“Mama… The elephant… White...” he muttered before the sedative worked.

The fireman shrugged raised their shoulders, looking at the doctor with a syringe.

“A Shocks will make anyone crazy!can cause many disorders.”

He dismissed Dismissing the issue outburst as nothing more than just a normal routine.

Inspector Falco was shocked stunned momentarily for some seconds. He couldn’t hear anything because of His sense of hearing was deafened by the explosion.  Silence everywhere and the air was a took on hues of grey;ish almost unbreathable cloud. It was a miracle that he was still alive. The main building of the hotel building was a wonder to be still standing after the collapse of the other two wings. He tried to move. but One of his legs, had gone numb. Something was blocking his movements. He seemed to have no power on his legs, All he could was to only lay on the floor and feeling felt life was slipping away.

Then a sudden thought: the wallet of the Hassan’s victim was in his pocket! It had a strange symbol embossed on the front.

“What was/is it?”

He thought of his case, he couldn’t left such a strange case, he has never left a case half done, he had to solve it. Never was there a case that had eluded him.  

No!  I will not be defeated!

With this goading and laughing in his mind, his pride -- no, his hubris! -- surged and welled up.

This thought gave him the vigor to react. He gritted his teeth; and with both hands, took hold of his leg and pulled. The pain was enormous, excruciating/unbearable and he screamed . but as he continued to pulled it until his leg wasn’t free from the derbis. Then He limped towards the corridor. Not too soon! For he heard a rumble. He turned towards the suite and looked back.  but he couldn’t see anything, the roof was collapsed in that area The roof had collapsed. His hubris had saved the day!
