The Town Rich in Oil and without Water Yopal is the capital city of the province of Casanare. Despite the fact that this province may be the richest one in Colombia, its capital has not had water supply for 3 years. It seems like there are not any solutions to resume the water supply in this town. The drinking water treatment plant of this town collapsed three years ago because it was located on a geological fault. Since then, the inhabitants of Yopal have had to buy water from water tank trucks. The government has sent money to this province in order for a treatment plant to be built. However, the local politicians have stolen the money. They are now in prison, the money keeps being disappeared and the people of Yopal do not have water drinkable water in their houses. Even though, this small city has many malls and fancy houses with swimming pools thanks to the oil boom. This is an example about how corruption affects the daily lives of ordinary people.

Primero, eso es una historia increíble. Es este problema solo en la ciudad (Yopal) o este en otro lugares tambien? Como se vive sin agua? Como se utiliza grandes jarras para llevar a su casa?
