Parable of the cave

In order to make easy the understanding of his epistemology more intelligible, Plato draws an analogy between the dialectic knowledge process and the situation of some slaves who are bound into a cave, and they can only see the wall in front of them. They have a fire behind of them, and the only thing that they can see are the shadows that the fire produces on the wall in front of them. Someday, one of them manages to escape the cavethose reach to scape and go outside. He discovers that the shadows, that were the only things that they considered as real, actually are a simulation, and he becomes aware about the actual reality. When he turns back to tell to his fellows about the truth, they don't believe him.
According to Plato, as this prisioner the philosopher discover the real world through this delusional world make of appearence in which we usually live. But the common people don't believe his truth because they are habitated conditioned to see only this world.
