What do you think about the children's computer addiction? There is no question that nowadays more and more children becoming addicted to computers. The popular belief is that the young generation should be encouraged to spend more time on outdoor activities rather than on computers and electronic entertainment. Of course, before reaching any conclusion both sides of the argument will be considered and my own perspective will be given. In one sense, in this day and age society has many problems related to the over-use of computers by children. For instance, many children spend too much time just playing computers games. As a result, because of a sedentary lifestyle great many of them have a variety of health problems such as obesity and eyesight disorders. It is why a lot of people gravitate towards the idea that children should devote more time playing sports and games outside and why they should be encouraged by doing these activities. In another sense, however, it seems impossible to imagine modern life without computers. There can be no denying the fact that children have to work with them but they should be supervised by parents in order to gain a balance in this matter. For example, parents may control the time of using computers and find ways of inspiring children to spend time outside doing sport activities. Taking into account everything mentioned about, I am inclined to believe that children should be encouraged to spend more time playing outside rather than using it with computers. Nevertheless, my personal view is that children are just victims of modern technologies and parents should be very careful. In my opinion, it is impossible for children to not use computers at all. However, parents may show them that spending time outside would not be less interesting or exciting.

There is no question that nowadays more and more children are becoming addicted to computers. The popular belief is that the young generation ['<em>younger generation'</em> is a more common expression] should be encouraged to spend more time on outdoor activities rather than on computers and electronic entertainment. Of course, before reaching any conclusion both sides of the argument will be considered and my own perspective will be given.

In one sense, in this day and age society has many problems related to the over-use of computers by children. For instance, many children spend too much time just playing computers games. As a result, because of a sedentary lifestyle a great many of them have a variety of health problems, such as obesity and eyesight disorders. This is why a lot of people gravitate towards the idea that children should devote more time to playing sports and games outside and why they should be encouraged to do these activities.

I suggest, "...the idea that children should devote more time to playing sports and games outside, and that they should be encouraged towards this kind of activity"

In another sense, however, it seems impossible to imagine modern life without computers. There can be no denying the fact that children have to work with them, but they should be supervised by parents in order to gain a balance in this matter / in order to <em>maintain a</em> balance in this matter. For example, parents may control the time of using computers - I suggest: time their child spends using computers, and find ways of inspiring children to spend time outside doing sporting activities.

Taking into account everything mentioned above, I am inclined to believe that children should be encouraged to spend more time playing outside rather than spending it on computers. Nevertheless, my personal view is that children are just victims of modern technologies and parents should be very careful. In my opinion, it is impossible for children to not use computers at all / it is impossible for children not to use computers at all [improved word order]. However, parents may show them that spending time outside would not be less interesting or exciting.

Great writing - I was particularly impressed by the flawless, native use of 'gravitate.' I think the main social issue will end up being smartphone use. I consider myself very lucky not to have been born in a city, and so spent most of my childhood outdoors, in open land. Still, in adulthood that hasn't stopped my from feeling addicted to computers and my damn phone. I can't imagine what it must be like to be born into a world with the current level of communication technology (or rather, time-wasting technology). That is, in the parts of the world where it is most freely available.
