Day 3: My opinion about education in Ukraine Hello everyone! Today is the third day when I write something in English! I hope I can do it thirty days without breaks or more. I want to tell you about my opinion about education in Ukraine, I hope you'll like it and you'll read the article and maybe correct my mistakes :) Education in Ukraine have average level and it almost die in some sphere. The system has *weakened* from 1991 till now. It has many problems: the lack of funding, old educational programs, person who do nothing except reading the same material during twenty years. Some years ago was implemented Bologna system but in different ways in all universities, it wasn't *adjusted*. Our government *contemplated* and waited what would happened. When people asked them how is the implementation going they talked something like all is good and *flatter*. But there is a good side of our education - some teachers who does everything to teach students good. They *mix* program with old and new material they find something interesting to students. People is our best engine of progress! Are you still here?) My opinion: no one can *prohibit* you do something (I don't tell about illegal things) but many person try to *influence* on you. You have to *tolerate* them but remember only you decide to *stay* on your own way or not! Thank you if you read my short story and thank you once more if you find any mistakes and tell me about it them. Have a nice day! P.s. Write something interesting about education in your country in comments

Hello, Юрий

Today is the third day when I write something in English! I hope I can do it thirty days without breaks or more. Good luck! I often decide the same, then do one day, maybe two and give up. Hah

I want to tell you about my opinion about education in Ukraine [you can also write, "I want to tell/give you my opinion about..."]
Education* in Ukraine has[*ед. ч.] average level and it has almost died in some spheres. The system has *weakened* from 1991 till now. It has many problems: the/a lack of funding, old educational programs, people[множ. ч.] who do nothing except reading the same material during for twenty years.
Some years ago, the Bologna system was implemented[порядок слов] but in different ways in all universities, it wasn't *adjusted*.
Our government *contemplated* and waited for/to see what would happened. When people asked them how is the implementation going they talked something like all is good and *flatter*.

When people asked them, "how is the implementation going?"...  or

When people asked them how the implementation was going,

... they said something like "everything is good" and ... глагол to flatter требует действовать кого-л или чего-л - обычно кого-л. То есть, например,

The government minister <em>flattered himself</em> for(about) his new policy / <em>flattered his party</em> over their recent success.

She <em>flattered him</em> on his dress sense.

You're too kind - you <em>flatter me</em> too often.

But there is a good side of our education - some teachers who does everything to teach students well. They *mix* programs with old and new material and they find something interesting to students. People are[множ.] our best engine of/for progress!
Are you still here?) Yes!
My opinion: no one can *prohibit* you to do (or <em>prohibit you from doing</em>) something (I'm not speaking/talking about illegal things) but many people try to *influence* on you.

You cannot <em>influence_this decision</em>. *<em>глагол</em>

He's trying to <em>influence_you</em>. *<em>глагол</em>

He <em>influences_her</em> too much. *<em>глагол</em>

He has too much influence on her. *<em>существительное!</em>

The population has no influence in/over this matter<em>. *существительное!</em>

You have to *tolerate* them but remember only you decide to *stay* on your own way/path or not!

Thank you if you read my short story and thank you once more if you find any mistakes and tell me about it/them.
Have a nice day!

All of your word uses were excellent, other than '<em>flatter</em>' which is quite a strange (and relatively rare) word anyway.

As for education facts - it's hard to say. It's 'interesting' to me that 36% of British ministers went to fee-paying schools, compared to 7% of the population - and that nearly 60% of them went to the same 2 universities (compared to <1% of the population). My school education (mainly in the 90s) was split into 3: first school, middle school and high school. In first and middle schools we did some odd stuff - like Ceilidh dancing in Physical Education. These were 'secular' state schools, but we still sang hymns and prayed every morning for at least 9 years.
