Shabnam, do you mean you want to use a pinyin in put to type characters? Or do you just mean to type pinyin (normal letters but you want to be able to write the tones too?) I cannot help you with writing the tones but this is how to get the normal Pinyin input method to your computer: I haven't used Windows for quite a while but I think you just need to look for keyboard language "Chinese" and there are countless types of Chinese input methods... One of them should be Pinyin. You don't need to add tones you just type the pinyin without tone information and the Chinese keyboard will pop up a bar with all kind of Chinese characters that are pronounced like what you just wrote. You can chose from that bar and your character is written. It's faster if you type longer sentences in pinyin though (without spaces between the words) and the Chinese keyboard will guess what you might want to write. Very often it already choses the right characters. If there are some wrong you can go back inside the typed line and only change those very few wrong characters. - I hope my explanation makes any sense to you. English isn't my native tongue. lol.

If you have a Mac try this (http://pinpinchinese.com/blog/how-to-use-pinyin-to-type-chinese-mac/), for Windows PC try this (http://www.pinyinjoe.com/windows-7/win7-pinyin-setup-p2-fanti.htm) or if you want to use Google pinyin IME (http://www.pinyinjoe.com/windows-8/win8-pinyin-setup.htm). Once you are in the pinyin mode just type the letters for the sound of the word using your keyboard. Please note the reference table in my first comment. You would need to type the letters n and then the letter i in order to see the word for "you" as a Chinese character.
