Obesity Preventing the obesity might be a good way of preventing cancer. This is because overweight and obesity appear to be responsible for five hundred thousand of new cancer cases worldwide. Almost two thirds of cancer cases related to obesity are in North America and Europe, and a quarter of these cases are preventable. In other words, these cases could have been avoided with healthier living habits. Currently, the number of obese people in the world is twice as much as it was in 1980. Why is that? Is it due to the increase in the consumption of junk food? Is it because many people don't do enough exercise? Is it due to genetics? In any case, it seems a very serious situation.

Obesity

Preventing the obesity might be a good way of preventing cancer.  This is because overweight and obesity excess weight appears to be responsible for five hundred thousand of new cancer cases worldwide (each year?).  Almost two thirds of cancer cases related to obesity are in North America and Europe, and a quarter of these cases are preventable.  In other words, these cases could have been avoided with healthier living habits (I would say a healthier lifestyle).
Currently, the number of obese people in the world is twice as much as it was in 1980. Why is that? Is it due to the increase in the consumption of junk food? Is it because many people don't do enough exercise? Is it due to genetics? In any case, it seems a very serious situation.

I agree that obesity is a growing wordwide concern.  I think it is due to a variety of factors, but I suspect the prime factor is how easy it is to get unhealthy food that is already prepared.  Our ancestors had to work hard for every meal.  Now, we can just open a package and eat 2000 calories in one sitting.

I think the genetics it's a very important factor, but I'm agree with you what you've said. The fast food is full of additives and chemical preservatives; if it's often consumed those kind of food, it's normal the body can't remove them. Also, the healthy food has a lot of vitamins, minerals and antioxidant properties. I think is a consequence of a sedentary and " easy" lifestyle, since you can find in any supermarket a lot of products, and the most of them aren't enough healthy.
