Leadership What is the leadership? According to the Oxford dictionary, leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization, or the ability to do this. In my opinion, exactly ability to lead a group of people is the true meaning of leadership. Depending on leadership qualities of chief executive officer, the company can become powerhouse or come off second-best. Entrepreneurs and founders of organizations should formulate right strategy to run a company at the highest level. It’s one of the most difficult question because the right choices about how to use resources of company are highly rewarded. On the way to success, the CEO can face with different problems like boardroom battle, bureaucratic and conservative of the company that do not allow company to develop further. There is opinion that people are born to be leader, but I consider that men can be taught leadership skills. There are many stories of successful company that shows that their CEO worked systematically to obtain the breath needed to be a modern chief executive. Douglas Ivester, CEO of Coca-Coka, did following to make Coca-Cola into powerhouse. He cut hierarchy, communicate freely with people at all levels and habituate his employees to return phone calls promptly. His style of management strategy is similar to military style of leadership of Neilson. Expertise of past years can be useful for management of a company today. Neilson emphasized 6 points that modern businessmen can use today for improving their business. For example, Neilson marked that it’s necessary to develop teamwork with defined roles and close personal relationships and allow everyone to express different ideas, in other word to permit participation in decision-making. Besides of correct management strategy, a good leader should have such qualities as tenderness and kindness. But he should be not only open, charismatic and balanced person, he should have enormous amounts of energy, ability to energize those whom he lead. So, leadership is not just word, it’s large work of real person or group of people to achieve goals by using right style of management.

Well done Veronica. Be careful with the article "the". If you are talking about something in general, leadership for example, you don't need the article. "Entrepreneurs and founders of organizations" is correct, because you are not referring to particular ones. Only men can be leaders??? "I consider that men can be taught leadership skills..." I'm sure you could change that to "people". The same with "businessmen" - business men and women or business executives. We cannot change old attitudes if we continue using old forms of writing. I don't mean to be hard. You have done a good job. Keep practicing! Regards, Simon.
