I have been Thinking of a Turkey Today I have been thinking of a turkey today Today is Thanksgiving Day that is known by Chinese better and better. This early morning when someone sent a picture in Wechat saying Happy Thanksgiving, my classmate in the American asked in surprise, ‘Do you also celebrate the Thanksgiving Day there?’ Yeah, we do celebrate the western festivals among youth clubs in Beijing though most families are only aware of them while they are shopping and get the discounts. I often participate in the activities in an English club. This weekend they will hold a big party to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day. I hope my niece will leave me fewer problems then I can take my daughter to join the celebrating. It is said the host will teach the attendants to pray in English just like western people do before dinner. I don’t know if they will prepare a turkey, and I think it be more exciting if we can taste that kind of special food. However, Turkeys never show in our common supermarkets. If a Chinese in Beijing taste a turkey on the Thanksgiving Day, it would be a great surprise. So I have not stopped thinking of a turkey. Last time the club did copy a real cerebrating for Halloween as abroad. There were candies, skeleton and black cat decorations, pumpkin Jack o’lanterns, etc., even two foreign guys! And this time why wouldn’t be a turkey for surprise? Any part of correcting in English will be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I have been thinking about turkey today

Today is Thanksgiving, a day that is becoming better known by Chinese (You could also say, more and more familiar to Chinese)Early this morning when someone sent a picture in Wechat saying Happy Thanksgiving, my classmate in America asked in surprise, ‘Do you also celebrate the Thanksgiving Day there?’

Yes, we do celebrate the western festivals among youth clubs in Beijing, though most families are only aware of them while they are shopping and get the discounts. I often participate in these activities in an English club. This weekend they will hold a big party to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day. I hope my niece will have fewer problems for me to help her with, so that I can take my daughter to join the celebrating.

It is said the host will teach the attendants to pray in English just like western people do before dinner. I don’t know if they will prepare a turkey, and I think it will be more exciting if we can taste that kind of special food. However, Turkeys never show up in our regular supermarkets. If a Chinese in Beijing were to taste a turkey on the Thanksgiving Day, it would be a great surprise.

So I have not stopped thinking of a turkey. Last time the club did copy a real celebration for Halloween from abroad. There were candies, skeletons and black cat decorations, pumpkin Jack o’lanterns, etc., even two foreign guys! And this time why shouldn't a turkey be a surprise?

Any part of correcting in English will be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
