A memory from a vacation

This is a memory from a vacation the must follow these 3 criteria:

1. Provide background/description/ setup for the story using the imperfect:
a. 2 sentences
b. Examples: How old were you (tener + años)? What was the weather like? What was happening that day? What time was it? What were you feeling? What were you planning/wanting to do?, etc.

2. Tell what you were doing using the imperfect:
a. 1 sentence
b. What were you doing when the action occurred and interrupted what was going on?

3. Tell what happened/ introduce the action of your story using the preterite
a. 2 sentences

if you guys could check my entry for errors I would greatly appreciate it :p.

The homework seems to be about the difference between use of the imperfect and the preterite.  Imperfect refers to actions that were ongoin or in process in the past.  Preterite refers to actions that were completed or "perfected" in the past.  To illustrate with verbs from your paragraph (which Núria corrected):

iba a la playa:  imperfect - I was going to the beach, I used to go to the beach;  preterite - I went to the beach

hacía mucho calor: imperfect - it was very hot (ongoing)

jubaba fútbol: imperfect - I was playing football (soccer), I used to play football (soccer);  preterite - I played soccer (and the game ended)

yo ganaba: imperfect - I was winning;  preterite - I won (over and done with, game ended)

Mientras nosotros jugábamos:  imperfect - while we were playing (ongoing

el tiempo cambió y llovió:  preterite - the weather changed and it rained (completed actions)

ETC.

Tres años pasado cuando Yo tenía diecisiete años yo iba a la playa de Galveston TX con toda mi familia. El tiempo hacía mucho calor y sol. Yo jugaba futbol con mi hermano y yo ganaba. Mientras nosotros jugábamos el tiempo cambió y lo llovió. Nosotros corrimos al hotel y no jugábamos el día próximo. Fue un día muy increíble excepto la lluvia.

Hace tres años Tres años pasado cuando Yo tenía diecisiete años yo iba a la playa de Galveston TX con toda mi familia. El tiempo Hacía mucho calor y sol. Yo jugaba fútbol con mi hermano y yo ganaba. Mientras nosotros jugábamos el tiempo cambió y lo llovió. Nosotros corrimos al hotel y no jugamos jugábamos al día siguente. el día próximo. Fue un día muy increíble excepto por la lluvia.
