The origin of name from my country. The name Brazil was given by Portugueses because when they arrived here, they saw many Brazil-wood trees (Caesalpinia echinata), type of tree and we call them “Pau Brasil”, In Europe, they were used to painted the fabrics in red and to made piano and violin. The conquerors used the native Indians to cut the Brazil-wood trees, and this almost destroyed all the them of coast. And the Indians didn't understand why Portugueses wanted them, and they wanted to be friendly with “interesting new visitor” in helped in everything. Today, The tree is extinction and hard ever you see it in some place. It's easy you find in few botanic garden or Atlantic forest on the coast.
