12/1/2014 Muah Chee (麻糍 ) is sticky steamed glutinous doughs. It is cut in small pieces, coated with either sugar, grounded roasted peanut or toasted sesame. It is soft, chewy, similar to Japanese Mochi. It was a popular snack in night markets and coffee shops in Singapore. But now, it is less popular and only can be found in selected places. It originated from China, now it can be found in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. It has evolved into countless variations.
