In my opinion, your "when" really means "if" so I changed it to 如果。。

If this... then this happens...
If 如果 I listen too much x I then 就 get immediatly upset.
Grammar Point:
verb + degree
In chinese , often a verb is complimented with the degree that the verb has . This compliment is marked by the particle 得 。。“to what degree?" So if you listen too much- too much is the degree to which you listen so...听 得 太 多
xīn fán upset, annoyed... one of the many ways to express this..
