My perfect day Hi everyone! This is gonna be my first entry, I'll appreciate any feedback. My perfect day There is a saying that the best things in life are yet to come. Although I strongly believe in this statement, I've already experienced one which may be called my perfect day so far. I woke up very early in the morning, or, to be honest, I hadn't slept whole night. This was partly because of sounds of the thunder coming outside the window but mostly because of a mixture of uncertainty, stress and overwhelming fear of failure. Next day I was supposed to obtain results of my final high school exam, which essentially would decide of my nearest future. The official ceremony started much later than it should, which was absolutely normal by the standards of our school. Counting minutes passing by was torture. As I stood in front of my form I had a clear view of what was happening. The principal started with a speech, wich I didn't listen to, nor my mates did, as we all waited for our names to be finally called. Expecting to be one of the last students I let myself relax a bit and started daydreaming about my holidays. Then, all of the sudden, I hear my name. Collecting remains of my self confidence I headed towards the principal, trying to appear as if I wasn't overwhelmed by the moment. Handshake, polite smiles and a paper which was at that point ticket to my future was already in my hands. Just a quick glance and everything was clear. I scored above my expectations in every subject. This meant I could enter literally any university I wanted.I remember pleasant feeling of accomplishment and excitement, nervous calls from my parents and deluge of congratulations afterwards. A few years later, finishing high school seems to me like piece of cake. However, the lesson I've learned is that the two most important things in order to attain your goal is to be persistent and motivated. The rest would follow.

My perfect day

Hi everyone! This is going to be my first entry, I'll appreciate any feedback.

My perfect day

There is a saying that the best things in life are yet to come. Although I strongly believe in this statement, I've already experienced one which could be called my perfect day so far.

I woke up very early in the morning, or, to be honest, I hadn't slept whole night. This was partly because of the sounds of the thunder coming from outside the window, but mostly because of a mixture of uncertainty, stress and overwhelming fear of failure. The next day I was supposed to obtain results of my final high school exam, which essentially would decide of my nearest future.

The official ceremony started much later than it should, which was absolutely normal by the standards of our school. Counting the minutes passing by was torture. As I stood in front of my form I had a clear view of what was happening. The principal started with a speech, which I didn't listen to, nor did my mates, as we all waited for our names to finally be called. Expecting to be one of the last students I let myself relax a bit and started daydreaming about my holidays. Then, all of the sudden, I hear my name. Collecting remains of my self confidence (Typically, you could just say "I collected myself...") as I headed towards the principal, trying to appear as if I wasn't overwhelmed by the moment. A handshake, polite smiles and a paper, which was at that point the ticket to my future, were already in my hands.

However, the lesson I've learned is that the two most important things in order to attain your goal (You could just say, "The two most important things in achieving/accomplishing/attaining your goal is...") is to be persistent and motivated, the rest will follow.
