Some preferences in my job (Would like/would rather/prefer) I would like to travel in my job rather alone or with a good colleague. I would rather live next to my job. I prefer to work during the day. I would like to work on a group project to mix ideas of different professionals. However, I prefer to have silence while I work. Some tips to use would like or would rather?

Some preferences in my job (Would like/would rather/prefer)

[1]I would like to travel in my job rather alone or with a good colleague. [2] I would rather live next to my job. [3] I prefer to work during the day. [4] I would like to work on a group project to mix ideas of different professionals. [5]However, I prefer to have silence while I work.

Some tips to use would like or would rather?

---

[1] I would rather travel to work alone or with a good colleague.

[2] I would rather live next to my workplace / I would rather live near my job.

[3] Perfect!

[4] Great!

[5] This is perfect, as long as you have, for example "my friend likes to listen to music. However, I prefer to have silence while I work".

"My job" is a bit abstract. "I like my job". But when you are talking about location, it´s better to use "my work", "work", or "workplace".

Would rather - My friend wants to go out, but I would rather stay at home.

Would like - I would like to stay at home tonight.
