Some of these places are: - Baluarte de Santiago - Navy museun - San Juan de Ulúa In these places you can know more about the city history, also you can take a lot of nice pictures and buy pretty souvenirs. ===BALUARTE DE SANTIAGO=== This place was a fortress to protect the city against pirates. Now this historical place is a museum where you can know a little about the Veracruz history, inthere you can enjoy the beutiful fisher´s jewels, found by a fisher and his son in a common fishing day. Thre are ancient weapons that was used to protect the city. ===NAVY MUSEUM=== This beatiful museum is about México navy and its history. It´s placed in a great location in the city center. This museum hold boat´s parts and pictures, it has old newspapers and history books. If you prefer you can take a guided tour where a guide explain to you all about the museum. ===SAN JUAN DE ULÚA=== At the beggining it was a fortress just like "Baluarte de Santiago" after that it used to be a jail where the most dangerous criminal was locked, indeed you can know the history about "chucho el roto". This place is sorrounded by sea, there are two way to get there, by bus and by boat.
