Conversations about K-pop
Most foreigners talking to me bring up a topic about related to K-pop, especially if they are girls. I like listening to music and watching music shows on TV or the internet, so I feel they are on the same wave-length.
There are many K-pop idols I like such as EXO, Big Bang, and Winner, IU, A-pink, and Super Junior and so forth. Listening to my favorite singers' music picks me up when I feel down; watching music shows is another also fun because their performances or costumes are usually different most of the time in each show.
Once in a while, people from other countries seem to know better than me more about the K-pop singers than I do. It's surprising that how they keep themselves up to date with the latest K-pop news. I don't check celebrity news very often unless it becomes a big issue, so sometimes it gives me an uncanny feeling when I find out that they are not in Korea, but they still have their finger on the pulse of K-pop, which is better even more than domestic people.
