resume about a report of Mumbai Children This video is a report about the children who live in the street of Mumbai. It shows the every day life of 4 children. Salam 11 years, Dipa 7 years and 2 twins Usen and Usan 11 years. First, the children who live in the street often have family problems, indeed, the main cause is the lack of money. They are a great risk to be abadon by their parents. Moreover, when they don't desert them, many parents hit them. They will keep scar all life. Generally, their grandmother take in and bring up them. Around 800 000 children disappear every years. The have to become adult early and to be autonomous (= autonomy) Second, they live in street or in a slum. They pass all day to find money to eat. Some children make petty job like sell flower, collect and sell metals,... Others beg and search food in the bin. Finally, a lot of them steal money, food and pick pocket. In India, between 30 and 60 million children work. Third, the street isn't a wonderful word, indeed, there are gang, drug dealer, thief and a lot of violence, physical and sexual. The children use some drugs because it have an effect appetite suppresante. Some girls have to prostituate herself to earn some roupies. Every 15 seconds, somebody dies in Mumbai street. Moreover there are a lot of disease like pague, AIDS,.... Fourth, there isn't magic formula to solve the problem but arround sixty humanitarian organization help them. They give food, medicine, dress,... In Mumbai, a temple welcome 200 children every friday, children receive food, a shower and clean dress. They never think about their future. It makes them sad. they aren't be able to have a good job because they can't go to school, they work to get money. Some lucky children get a place in a reception for childrenin the street.
