Máculas = manchas is a symptom, it isn't a part of the eyeball, in the sentece that you wrote you express "macula" as a part of the eyeball ("globo ocular" in Spanish).

Floater = partícula flotante (en el ojo)

This word is very technical and the best word to express is "partícula flotante en el ojo" or "partícula en el ojo", because the meaning of floater is some kind of cells with different shapes inside the vitreous ("humor vítreo" in Spanish and the word "humor" is all kind of liquid that has the vitreous' consistency -gelatinous and transparent-).

To write about this kind of topic (health and any other area with technical words) is very complex Mary, because the words in English and Spanish are very different from the literal translation.
