The Challenges and Triumphs of Learning English All people, who have ever tried to learn a foreign language, know that there are a lot of challenges, difficulties and even frustrations on the way of studying. The first problem is how to start. We have a lot of routines and of cause we want to relax after the working day and watch the TV or go out with friends or even just sleep. Where is the time for studying? We have no time. Well, let's imagine that you managed to start and you're attending some English school twice a week. The second issue is how to get used to learning it constantly? Not for a month. Just start and don't break. In this case we still have not enough time and also we have not enough money for English school and we becomebored after several months. We rapidly lose interest. Let's say, we have been attending a couple of language schools for the last 2 years without break. The level of English was getting better for the first year and then stopped. We made a lot of efforts, but nonetheless we are not fluent and make the same mistakes. We are frustrated. It sounds not so positive. Although, what is the benefit of learning English? First of all, in our online world you can keep in touch with the whole world at any time you prefer. You can easily get new friends abroad and chat with them after travelling. Also English can help you get by in any country, because it's an international language. You can get a higher salary even in your own country in a lot of professions because of English. And the last, but not the least, learning of a foreign language improves brain activity. In my opinion, it is worth doing, because you will get all opportunities to explore the world.

The Challenges and Triumphs of Learning English

<em>Anyone</em> who <em>has</em> ever tried to learn a foreign language know<em>s</em> that there are a lot of challenges, difficulties, and even frustrations along the way.

The first problem is how to start. <em>Our lives are busy. W</em>e want to relax after the working day and watch TV or go out with friends or even just sleep. Where is the time for studying? We have no time.

Well, let's imagine that you managed to <em>motivate yourself to begin learning</em> and you're attending some English school twice a week. The <em>next </em><em>problem is, </em><em>how does one maintain the motivation to keep practicing/learning the language over the long term, and not</em> <em>just</em> for a month <em>or two</em>. Just start and don't break (<em>meaning unclear)</em>. <em>Even then</em> we still <em>might</em><em> not have </em>enough time. <em>M</em><em>oreover,</em> we <em>might </em><em>not</em> have enough money for English school<em>, and even if we did,</em> we <em>might</em> become bored <em>and lose interest</em> after several months.

Let's say we have been attending a couple of language schools for the last <em>two </em>years without <em>taking a</em> break. <em>Our </em>English <em>has </em><em>improved steadily over</em> the first year<em>, but then reached a plateau</em>. <em>Even though we have</em> <em>put in a lot of effort,</em> we are <em>still nevertheless </em>not <em>yet</em> fluent and <em>keep making</em> the same mistakes. We are frustrated <em>by our lack of progress. </em>

<em>If the difficulties are so great, </em>what, <em>then,</em> is the benefit of learning English? First of all, in our <em>digital </em><em>era knowing English allows</em> you <em>to </em><em>connect</em> with the whole world. You can easily <em>make </em>new friends <em>while traveling </em>abroad and <em>keep up with them </em>afterwards. <em>Moreover,</em> English can help you get by in any country, because it's an international language. <em>Even in your own country y</em>ou can <em>earn</em> a higher salary in a lot of professions because of English. And last, but not the least, learning a foreign language improves brain <em>function.</em>

In my opinion, <em>learning English</em> is worth doing, because you will get all <em>kinds of</em> opportunities to explore the world.
