The City Council banned the cars circulation from the same time. The aim was avoid incidences and make easy the emergengy services and snowplows works. The advice was not going out of home. The citizens were queeing at stores to buy candles, water and food some hours before. The empty New York streets was an unbelievable image

Nice job! In my town they had forecast 25-35 cm... we received 5 cm!


You can also say "forecast" for "forecasted", even in the past tense. For example "the blizzard forecast for last Monday" or "half the snow amount that was forecast".


"Transport stopped working" normally means it is broken. "Transport stopped running" is used to signify that it was not operating (moving).
