Informal greeting, take 2

Cén chaoi a bhfuil tú. Mise Robin. Is as Boston dom. Cén t'ainm atá ort? Tá sé go deas bualadh leat. Is cógaiseoir mé. Is Tá mé pósta agus tá beirt pháistí agam , buachaill agus cailín. Tá mé beirt dhá mhadrai agam. Go raibh maith agat.

To express "I have ..." in Irish, you literally need to say "... is at me", so while in English the possessor is the subject of the verb, in Irish the thing possessed is the subject.

There are two different sets of numbers for counting in Irish, one for counting people, and another for counting anything else. "Beirt" is only used for counting people, it is followed by the genitive plural of the noun, which it lenites. When counting anything else, the use the numeral "dhá", which lenites and is followed by the nominative or dative singular of the noun.
