Verb Patterns
1 - I hate standing in a queue, it's such a wast of time. - correct
2 - My baby daughter is just learning to speak. - correct
3 - Can you remember to refill the car's tank with gas ?
4 - It's nearly empty.
5 - I'd love to invite Davi and Maggie 'around' for a meal sometime.
6 - I coudn't sleep last night. I tried counting sheep, but that didn't help. --correct
7 - My jeans need washing. They're filthy. --correct
8 - The customer 'tried' to complain about the service in the restaurant, but the waiter refused to listen.
9 - Stop pulling my hair! It hurts!
10 - I just want to wish you a happy birthday.
11 - Would you mind feeding our cat, while we are away on 'holiday' ?
12 - When you go 'to' a museum, you aren't allowed to touch anything.
13 - Dont forget to defrost the chicken before you 'cook' it. -- cooked is past tense, use the same tense as in 'defrost' here
14 - Did you 'manage' to find what you were looking for? - Always use present tense with 'did' .
