Adolescence in 40´s, when my grandmother was a teenager. What would happen if suddenly you travel to the past? Specifically in a town in the 40´s. How would be the lifestyle in those years? If you don´t know, you should read this article! I´m writing this article at this moment, so I feel lucky to talk about this topic because I have known three of my grandparents and I think everyone cannot say. Nevertheless I'm sure, you have had some conversation when you were a child with them even now if you had the chance to know some of your grandparents, you would not have doubts to ask them some question. Thereby I´m going to talk about Cecilia, one of my grandmothers. Maria who I have fond memories, is my another grandmother. She died in 2001. Cecilia did not use to write a diary because did not go to school and didn´t get used to writing her memories. I admire her because she has a long term memory, if I were her I could not narrate like she does it. She told me started working when she was ten years old as a nanny while her brothers were working at the farm. When she came back at home helped her mom working as a housewife cleaning the house and cooking for her family. Anyway when she was fourteen, her brothers and she were taught by a Language and Math teacher. In my opinion, lifestyle in 40’s was a horrible era, I tremble when my grandmother tells me, I would not like to be a citizen in 40’s because people could not enjoy of their adolescence even their childhood starting working so soon. At any rate, all is not bad, I would like to have lived in that era if I have to take into account the food which was healthy. They planted and harvested their vegetables and had their own animals to eat them.

Adolescence in 40´s, when my grandmother was a teenager.

What would happen if suddenly you travel traveled to the past? Specifically, to in a town in the 40´s. How would be the lifestyle be in those years? If you don´t know, you should read this article!

I´m writing this article at this moment (creo que intentabas decir "in the present day"). , so I feel lucky to talk about this topic because I have known three of my grandparents and I think everyone cannot say that. (también se puede decir "the same"). Nevertheless, I'm sure, you have had some conversation with them when you were a child with them. Even now if you had the chance to know some of your grandparents, you would not have doubts hesitate to ask them some questions. Thereby/Therefore I´m going to talk about Cecilia, one of my grandmothers. Maria, who I have fond memories of, is my another grandmother. She died in 2001.

Cecilia did not use (creo que gramaticamente, tu frase funciona, pero nadie lo usa en EEUU) never used to write a diary because she did not go to school and didn´t get used to writing her memories.
I admire her because she has a long term memory, if I were her I could not narrate like she does it. She told me she started working as a nanny when she was ten years old as a nanny while her brothers were working at the farm. When she came back at home she helped her mom working as a housewife, cleaning the house and cooking for her family. Anyway when she was fourteen, she and her brothers and she were taught by a Language and Math teacher.

In my opinion, the lifestyle in the 40’s was a horrible. (o se puede decir "the 40's was a horrible era."), I tremble when my grandmother tells me, I would not like to be a citizen in the 40’s because people could not enjoy of their adolescence even their childhood starting working so soon. At any rate, all is not bad, I would like to have lived in that era if I have to take into account the food which was healthy. They planted and harvested their vegetables and had their own animals to eat them.

Yo admiro a tu abuela y a todo lo que superó. Gracias por este ensayo.
