Dad's birthday

Yesterday It was my dad's birthday yesterday. In my family, we each prepare a birthday present each other when it's someone's birthday. For my mom or my sister, I can decide on a present soon quickly, but when it comes to my dad, I can't decide what to buy for him every time. Because I don't really know what he wants, and he doesn't use it even though the things I give him a thing, so I ususally give him some foods.

On someone's birthday, we have a cake. My sister and I always go to buy one the cake since I've got a driver's licence. We always buy 6 slices of cakes since there are is my dad, my mom, my grandma, my grandpa (he's dead though), my sister and me. Usually, my dad and my mom tell us what kind of cake they want to have, so we can choose theirs, but the problem is my grandma. She doesn't take eat the cake even though she tells us she wants something like this we got her what she wanted. Another day, she told us she wanted a slice of short cake and we bought her one, but she ended up taking eating another type of cake. So my sister and I always think guess which cake our grandma will choose and bet on a cake it. There is a tacit understanding, after the person who has a birthday chose chooses a slice of cake, my grandma chooses one next. For that reason, my sister and I are waiting with bated breath when she chooses since she might take what we want to eat. This time, she chose the slice of cake I was supposed to eat. That means we lost the bet. My sister and I always bet and enjoy our cake time like this when it's someone's birthday. Although usually the cake my sister wanted wants to eat is taken by my grandma.
