About Brazilian Carnival - Challenge one text every day The new year in Brazil is different of any other countries, Well… We celebrate like the anothers, at the December 31th, but the year not really begin there. It’s just in the end of febrerer the things start to work. After that, we all are in a big time lake, when we have to go to work / study / do useful things… but nothing really works. For example: If you have to do a request of anything at a store. You should not wait the things to arrive before carnival. It’s comum sense here. In my case, I’m at the end of my graduation, and I’m waiting some answers about internships. Also, I give math classes in my free time (like a part-time job). I don’t know why, I just forgot about this “Brazilian-new-year” thing, and I was really anxious because it is almost March and I wasn’t doing anything of my life (well… Just practicing languages here at the italki! :D ). But now, like a miracle, carnival is passed, and things start to work well! So… Be aware: If you are coming to Brazil: Don’t take the period of january-to-february to thought about how things are did at Brazil. Actually, here is a nice country, there’s many good things beyond carnival! =) [Text 003/365. A friend (Jefferson Rodrigues) and I are going to write one text per day for one year! Please help us with corrections, suggestions and ideas.]

Nice text Luíza, actually many Brazilians dislike Carnival or Futball. I like Carnival but Futball is not so interesting for me. Let's let the natives do proper corrections, but just to help, AT the end of Frebuary ( preposition is AT, I used to think it was in just like you wrote). how things are done in Brazil. ( in for countries)
