Images of "The Yellow Wallpaper" We can understand that the two images are related with Gilman's short story. Throughout those, we can see the madness, the illness of the main character, a woman defined by "I". The first one of the two images represents the horrible color of the wallpaper, the first impression of the character when she saw this wallpaper for the first time. She described it as an ugly one and I think we can get her feelings with this image. We also distinguish a form; surely a body -the woman that the main character seems to see during those days in the room. To my mind the first picture represents it, as someone is prisoner of the yellow wallpaper -the point of view of the main character in the story. The second one more represents the madness of the woman than the wallpaper itself. We can clearly see a shape of a body - a woman body with the contour of a dress and her chest. With her arms which are hold up, we understand her fear. And, when we know the story, we could remark throughout this image, her madness, her illness. Maybe also an impression of loneliness in front of this wallpaper which contained some faces and the loneliness in her life -her husband let her during the day, she has to be alone in the room. To my mind, the first image focuses on the wallpaper whereas the second one is based on the main character and her feelings.

We can understand that the two images are related to(?) Gilman's short story.
Throughout those, we can see the madness, the illness of the main character, a woman known as (or: referred to as) "I".

The first image represents the horrible color of the wallpaper, the first impression of the character when she saw this wallpaper for the first time. She described it as ugly (wallpaper isn't countable) and I think we can get her feelings with this image. We also distinguish a form; surely a body -the woman that the main character seems to see during those days in the room. To my mind the first picture represents that someone is a/the prisoner of the yellow wallpaper (I wasn't totally sure what you meant here so I guessed) -the point of view of the main character in the story.

The second one more represents the madness of the woman than the wallpaper itself. We can clearly see the shape of a body - a woman's body with the contour of a dress and her chest. With her arms which are held up, we understand her fear. And, when we know the story, we could remark throughout this image, her madness, her illness (I'm not sure "remark" is the right word here, if you want to use it here it needs something else to go with it, such as "remark on her madness..."). Maybe also an impression of loneliness in front of this wallpaper which contained some faces and the loneliness in her life -her husband left her during the day, she has to be alone in the room.

To my mind, the first image focuses on the wallpaper whereas the second one is based on the main character and her feelings.

I did the best I could here, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the story this is about so I'm sort of lacking context.

Images of "The Yellow Wallpaper"

We understand that the two images are related to Gilman's short story.
Throughout these, we can see the madness and illness of the main character, a woman defined by "I".

The first of the two images represents the horrible color of the wallpaper. The initial impression of the character when she seen this wallpaper for the first time was described as an ugly and I think we can appreciate her feelings with this image. We also distinguish a form; surely a body -the woman that the main character seems to see during those days in the room. To my mind the first picture represents it as someone who has become a prisoner of the yellow wallpaper -which is the point of view of the main character in the story.

The second image represents more of the woman's madness than the wallpaper itself. We can clearly see a shape of a person - a female body with the contour of a dress and her chest. From her arms which are held upright, we understand her fear and with knowledge of the story, we can also remark further throughout this image about her madness, her illness and also sense an impression of loneliness in front of this wallpaper which displayed some faces and signified the loneliness in her life -her husband let her during the day, she has to be alone in the room.

In my opinion, the first image focuses on the wallpaper whereas the second one is based on the main character and her feelings.
