Diary-Feb/28/2015 I volunteered for a community service today. It is a little exciting for me because it is my first time to do a community service here in the States. One of the big accounting firm employees also Joined us for the volunteer. As an accounting major student, it is a honor to work with them. At the start of the program, the coordinator of the program gave us a brief introduction about what the program is and what we are supposed to do today. Then she showed us a brief video introducing how the program helps the homeless people to build their conviction towards life, build them home, and provided them support. it is touching after I saw the video. I feel grateful that the program can really help people and I can be one part of it. When we walked around the community, i can sense it is a organized, friendly community. Those homeless people are no longer needed to sit in a cold wind, or lay on a street well so that they can feel the warmness from the well and feel less cold. The surrounding is clean; the house is warm; they even got a pretty dog named Bonnie. I can tell Bonnie is one part of them and bring them tons of happiness.
