TOEFL practicing essay (1) I agree that parents are the best teachers because children take parents as models, more than actual teachers, so I believe it's better for the parents to show their children the road to follow. Then it's real teacher's job to lead the children along the way the parents set. Of course it's not easy to be a parent. In fact so many times it could happen that the road the parents choose it's not actually the right one. I've always believed that parents should be taught too on how to be good parents and life teachers. This can happen thanks to psychology that can help parents to improve their parental skills, because routine, work problems, family discussions can give stress to the parents, who can ignore their children or mistreating them, or even showing them a bad part of their personalities, which can be taken as model of how to treat other people. For example when a couple starts having an argument in front of their children and starts to scream and say bad words, it can affect the vision of the couples that children have very badly. Furthermore they can use those bad behaviors to other children or even to the parents themselves. Another good way is to have a good communication with the children from when they are very little and try to explain everything that happens in the world in the most natural and clear way. I don't think children should live always believing in fantasies, they need to know little by little about how the real world goes on. Of course it's also important not to traumatize the child with excessive details or very realistic descriptions, just trying to find a simple way to lead children in this difficult path that is life. I would like to add that if the parents do a good job in teaching the children, then there's also the possibility to prevent racism, sexual discrimination and disrespect for animals and natural environment. In conclusion, I would highly recommend to use psychology knowledge to help every people to become good teachers for children. I firmly believe this is the way to build a better world.
