When going on a diet, or even just trying to lead a healthy lifestyle, we all encounter one problem – willpower – and to be precise, the limited amount of this resource. Each decision, to not eat this delicious chocolate cake is slowly (but surely!) decreasing the strength of our decision to not consume unnecessary calories.(This sentence is very long. Maybe try something like 'Every time we decide not to eat... slowly (but surely) decreases our stamina in the fight against unnecessary calories'. ) Later when our willpower is depleted, we just close our eyes and pick up some candy, with feelings of guilt and pity (self-pity?). What if there is another way? What if you can have your cake and eat it too?
It is possible – and these are the origins of Healthy Cake Competition. You can eat a yummy cookie and not be flooded by unhealthy nutrients (Not a great phrase. Maybe something like 'not feel guilty for eating unhealthily'). There are plenty of healthy recipes out there not only for trendy salads but also for cakes and cookies. Would you like to accept the challenge? Take part in the competition and at the same time help to spread the healthy habit to your colleagues.
How to participate:
1. Bake a cake – that is both healthy and tasty
2. Bring it to Cafeteria on the 6th of March at 12:00
3. Tell the Jury (Judges?) how it was made and what makes it so healthy
Jury – will be comprised of Experts from Vitarian Cake Lecture
Everyone is free to try the cakes after the Jury’s tasting :)
We are expecting some mind-blowing pastries on Friday…
Will you be the One to gain the Immortal Glory by sharing your (devilishly good?) Angel Food Cake? (unfortunately I have used all of my creativity on the previous announcement, and don't know how to make a funny reference to some cakes :( )
