Should cell phones be banned to use in public Using cell phones, making calls or relaxing, is quite common in modern world. In some people’s view, this can be disturbing, even as bad as smoking. As a result, it should be prohibited. Personally, however, while there should be some restrictions on this issue, moderate usage of those electronic devices is acceptable. Admittedly, arbitrarily using of them can cause some problems. Loud noise from them, without doubt, may be the first and also the most unpleasant thing, which could be the voice from who are talking on phones, or be produced by video games. A couple of weeks ago, I went to my hometown to reunite with my family. In that journey, I had no other better options but to ride the train. During the whole night I was in sleeping berth, noise from phones was everywhere all the time, which made me virtually sleepless. What a terrible night I had. If those gadgets were not allowed to use, it would give people a pleasant memory in such cases. On the other hand, staying in touch with others, especially for those in business, is crucial. So, banning using totally is unpractical and unreasonable. But there are still measures we can take. When there must be a quite environment, in libraries or sleeping berth during sleeping hours, any noise which may affecting others ought to be not allowed. But you can still use them noiselessly. In conclusion, employing cell phones publicly should be restricted on the condition that your activities are not affecting others negatively. If you can achieve this, you can use your phone at your own.

Should cell phones be banned to use in public

Using cell phones, for the purpose of making calls or just relaxing, is quite common in the modern world. In some people’s view, this can be disturbing, even as bad as smoking. As a result, it should be prohibited. Personally, however, while there should be some restrictions on this issue, moderate usage of those electronic devices is acceptable.

Admittedly, arbitrarily using of them using them arbitrarily (the arbitrary use of cell phones) can cause some problems. Loud noise from them, without a doubt, may be the first and also the most unpleasant thing, which could be the voice from who are talking on phones, or be produced by video games. Without a doubt, the most unpleasant thing about public cell phone use is the noise pollution that it can produce. This noise could be the voice of someone talking loudly on the phone, or the annoying sounds produced by games and other apps. A couple of weeks ago, I went to my hometown to reunite with my family. In On/During that journey, I had no other better options but to ride the train. During the whole night I was in the sleeping berth, noise from phones was everywhere all the time, which made me virtually sleepless (which made it virtually impossible for me to sleep). What a terrible night I had. If those gadgets were not allowed to be used, it would give people a pleasant memory in such cases.

On the other hand, staying in touch with others, especially for those in business, is crucial. So, completely banning the use of cell phones totally is unpractical and unreasonable. But there are still measures we can take. When there must be a quite quiet environment, such as in libraries or sleeping berths during sleeping hours, any noise which may affecting affect others ought to be not allowed (我觉得 ought not to be allowed 好一点). But you can could still use them noiselessly.

In conclusion, employing cell phones publicly should be restricted on the condition that your activities are not affecting others negatively. If you can achieve this, you can use your phone at your own discretion.

discretion: the right to choose what should be done in a particular situation

noise pollution: loud or unpleasant noise that is caused by automobiles, airplanes, etc., and that is harmful or annoying to the people who can hear it
