The Commission When he woke up, he realised that he wasn't at home. He didn't remember what he had done the night before. He sat up and tried to turn the light on, but it didn't work. He was in a very small bedroom, which furniture consisted of the bed where he was sitting , two chairs and a tiny desk. There were sheets of paper all over the room; on the chairs, on the floor, on the desk, under the bed... He took a piece of paper from the floor and saw, to his amazement, the manuscript he was working on. He had been commissioned to write an article by an important newspaper. There was only one manuscript, and it was at his place, so somebody had stolen it. The topic of the article was related to loneliness and, to be honest, he was stuck; he had only written a hundred words, but he still had a couple of days to submit it. That thought made him shiver; where was he? He got up and tried to open the room's door, but it was locked. Desperate, he knocked on the door and yelled, but there was no reply. He pulled himself together and tried to think about his situation. Somebody had locked him in a very small room, which was full of paper. Who would be able to do such a thing? Suddenly, the answer dawned on him. What if all this had to do with the job he had been hired for? At that moment the door was opened and two men entered the room. They were wearing completely in black, with a hood over their heads. One of them was carrying a lamp, and the other one a typewriter. One of them said to him:" Here you have all you need to write the article. As you hadn't written too much, the boss thought that you would find this place inspiring, given the topic of the article". He tried to say something, but the man cut him short."You have two days from now, to finish the article, otherwise you will never leave this room" Having said that, the two men left the room slamming the door shut, and he stayed there without knowing what to do next. At that moment, he woke up covered in sweat. He got up, turned on the light and found that he was at home. What a relief! The stress at work had made him have a nightmare.
