The Importance of Reading... (My Owon Expereince) I had a translation (at sight) class that was at 9:00 am. As usual I came late! then, when I entered the class the Prof. asked me to translate a text from Eng. to Ar. (it was about the advantages of eating fruits) in fact, I wasn't prepared and I didn't have the source text that I should translate from; so I told him that I had no paper (the text) to translate from then, he asked one of my colleagues to pass a paper around. Fortunately, when I picked up the text and started skimming it: to just take a general idea about what I was going to do, I found out that the text was about a subject/topic I had a previous knowledge of (I read about such a topic before) . So I did my job very well; thanks to reading. Finally, reading in whatever field is like having a magical power that you can use to face any challenge regarding translation or just general knowledge! So read as much as you can, you will know the importance of it when being in action! _________________________________ Note: I can't help stopping building my sentence like a run-on sentence! The Importance of Reading... (My Owon Expereince)

I had a translation (at sight) class, that was at 9:00 am. As usual I came late! then, when I entered the class the Profprofessor, asked me to translate a text from Eng english to Ar arabic. (it was about the advantages of eating fruits) in fact, I wasn't prepared and I didn't have the source text that I should have to translate from, so I told him that I did not have the had no paper (the text) to translate from, then, he asked one of my colleagues to pass a  the paper around.

Fortunately, when I picked up the text and started skimming it: to just to get take a general idea about what I was going to do, I found out that the text was about a subject/topic I had a previous knowledge of (I had read about such a the topic before) .
So I did my job very well; thanks to reading.

Finally, reading in whatever field is like having a magical power that you can use to face any challenge regarding translation or just general knowledge!

So read as much as you can, you will know the importance of it when being in action!
