My name is Lucas Hemmings , I'am I am a film director in Hollywood California.
My team and I are currently embarking upon a new film project later this month based on the life of your late, great grandfather, Charles Alexander Eastman. However before launching our project any further I would like to get your consent, aswell as your permission, to secure all copyrights regarding his life and work achievements.
One of the main reasons I'm highly interested in bringing Eastman's life into onto the big screens, is because I grew up reading his work, and most particularly his autobiography , Indian Boyhood , a book which taught me a lot about life and cultures as I myself am of native Australian descents, therefore the content of this book deeply touched me and made me think about my ancestor's culture and how it all vanished through the over time and made me wonder of what could have been.
Furthermore I believe making a movie about his life is another way of educating the world on Native's lives before and after they were invaded,for to give the many people who aren't familiar with it the story to have a different outlook and to see that Native's culture isn't just those costumes we wear every once in a while on halloween for instance. but Most importantly It would be quite fascinating to show the world the transition from his boyhood in the Indian Community to his great achievements as a writer.
As Mr Eastman was told and taught about white men through his uncle, maybe this movie could be a way for the both of us to carry out his legacy just the same way many Indians carried out the legacy of their culture through tales told by their elders which they passed on through several generations.
As a consequence I would very much enjoy to get a receiving feedback from you and perhaps we could meet down at my house in order to discuss the matter in depth.
Ps : I can guarantee you that it would not be another hollywood biopic among like all the others as I will put my heart into it.
